About the Program

WHLPAP Program – How it Works

Horse Lifetime Points & Awards Program achievements are based on scores a horse achieves at all Western Dressage levels, Rail Classes, and Western Dressage Seat Equitation Patterns over the course of its Western Dressage career.

Enrollment is required by submitting a Horse Lifetime Enrollment Form along with the enrollment fee of $100 . A number will be assigned to the horse, which follows the horse for life. Enrollment deadline for current season award presentation eligibility is July 1st.

Each CALENDAR year of competition an  Annual Recording Form must be completed and a fee of $50 must be submitted  (including the year of enrollment) to submit points from shows for that year. Scores from the previous CALENDAR year may be submitted with an annual recording form and a $50 fee for that year.

Submit tests and rail classes using the Test and Rail Class Submission Form for points to be recorded. A fee of $10 per test/rail class is required. Annual Recordings and Point Submissions must be submitted with payment by July 31st to be eligible towards 2023 award presentations.

A scanned (or hard copy by mail) copy of the portion of each test that shows the total score and percentage awarded, judge’s signature, competition/show date, and horse information must be provided. Submissions with errors or omissions will be returned to the member to complete and will delay point processing.

  • We strongly recommend that all forms be completed and submitted using our online forms with payment via Payscape. Forms and payments submitted by US mail can take 45 days or longer to process.  Please note the WHLPAP office is only staffed part-time.  Submissions submitted using the online form with complete and accurate information will usually be reviewed within 10 – 15 business days.
